This is a groovy, funky soul ballad about a woman pleading for her man to make up his mind and come around to her. The lyric a declaration of surrender and longing: "Every hour seems like a day / And every day is like a year / And every week is an eternity." Musically, the Dap-King, a superior and tight ensemble, offer up a '70s-style funk groove, but with stylistic touches that blend disco and even modern dancefloor vibes. Jones was one of the premier soul vocalists of all time, and her career was way too tragically cut short.
