That's All Right - Jimmy Rogers

That's All Right - Jimmy Rogers
2:50
single, 1950
Written by Jimmy Rogers

Well, "Written" by Jimmy Rogers.  Muddy Waters said it was Robert Lockwood's song; others say that Othum Brown wrote basically the same song in 1947.  But it's usually credited to Rogers, and has become a standard.  This, by the way, is entirely different than the Arthur Crudup song often given the same title.  Little Walter plays harmonica on this recording.  It's a lost love blues song, with the title meant ironically: "Please tell me baby, what's getting wrong with you? / You don't treat me halfway right baby, nothing like you used to do / But that's alright."
